Doctored Cricket Quiz-21-23

Doctored Cricket Quiz

another paradox in today's quiz.."paupers" may be losers, but they are still 'rich and royal'!..
-one need to figure out 'THE Figure' from the frieze of so many figures, and then reach to 'a figure' by counting all those figures! figured?
..no.. okey..another clue...'pretty' Indian beauty is 'the heading figure' of this bunch of figures, but she is not the 'queen' of the 'head figure' in these figures.
I'm sorry, but then i was trying to help you to figure out the answer..which may be a bit beyond--this 'double figure' !!

The wrong answers included half-volley, full length, good length. Few even thought the right answer could be Feroze Shah Kotla and Bangalore Royal Challangers.

Correct entries

The clue for today's quiz.."Kumble loved it here"…WHY? did he live in this lane? does he like this ‘red-ricksha’, coming out? as a leg spinner, does he love such [bowling] end? is it his favorite fielding position? is this a ground where he took 10 wickets… Whatever may be the reason with Kumble..i LOVE this picture for its interesting depth of field..rather the depth of the lane- lined by the rows of houses on both sides and the road accentuated by a'mid-day' sun light! The driving red-ric on the middle of the path shows the momentum..defines the whole length of this narrow 'alley'..the long distance it traversed..

TODAY’S CLUE: Kumble loved it here

Yesterday’s puzzle

Correct Answer: Leg-spin The clue was: Wizards

Now, this was an easy one, provided you read the wrong ’un — a leg-spinner’s biggest weapon. Congratulations to nine Amdavadis, who not only read the wrong ’un, they hit it for a six. A special mention here of Mayank Gupta, Sunil Misal, Steve Christian, Surinder Singh and Rajesh Prajapati, who wrote in saying Jumbo Anil Kumble because of elephant’s picture as puzzle. It is also a good guess, as Kumble is a leg-spinner, but not a right answer.

Correct entries Dhruvin Vyas, Rajan Jain, Sriram Iyer, Girish Vithlani, Nirnay Kapoor, Rakshit Bhatt, Gracey Stanley, Abhishek Kothari and Shenal Thakkar.

Here’s a cricket quiz like no other. Every day, we carry a picture clicked by cricket fanatic Dr Hiren Shah in course of his travels around the world. Hidden in every picture is a cricketing term. To help you unravel this cricketing term, Dr Shah provides a clue.

they vary the turn-vividly like colours of the lizard, the limb is rotated so deftly- we call them ‘Wizard’; ..can’t afford to swing your willow just haphazard, lest pay the price and let the team suffer the hazard ! This is the clue for the today's quiz.. as i got some calls for the hints and some simple clues. But yesterday we all at AM went 'clueless'! Not that favorite OZ were humbled by mini Poms in the world cup final, but then..we didn't receive a single correct answer for the yesterday's quiz of "Nelson's score of 111'. We pediatricians swear by Nelson-[Nelson's text book of Diseases of Children is our Bible and Bhagwad Geeta!], and let me admit that i'd the same fear about the 'dancing'clue, and had given multiple hints inmy quartet of Horatio Nelson, Nelson Mandela, Fort Nelson in Hampshire and Port Nelson in NewZealand. But then yesterday was Sunday- even off-day for most of us on FB..

Today’s Puzzle

TODAY’S CLUE: Wizards

Yesterday’s puzzle

Correct Answer: Nelson or 111 The clue was: Bhangra

ZERO CORRECT ENTRIES!!! We received close to 100 entries, and NOT ONE GOT IT RIGHT. C’mon Amdavad, what’s wrong with you, you all who have been playing this quiz awesomely. We got entries like leg-bye (most of them), footwork, Harbhajan Singh (why???). Only one entry came close, which said David Shepherd but that was an exact answer.
